Iran will end naval drill in strategic Strait of Hormuz Tuesday with a parade by units involved in the exercise.

The naval drill aimed at showing Iranian Navy's capability and might in its territorial waters and high seas.

Some Iranian high-ranking military officials including Army Commander-in-Chief Major General Ataollah Salehi and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of Iran's Armed Forces Major General Hassan Firouzabadi as well as some foreign observers from Iranian allies are to join the naval exercise.

Iran successfully test fired upgraded long-range Qader (Capable), short-range Nasr (Victory) and surface-to-surface Noor (Light) missiles on Monday.

The advanced "Qader" missile has been upgraded comparing to its older version in terms of radar, satellite, precision to annihilate the target, range and distance.

Also "Noor" advanced missile has been modernized comparing to its earlier versions in terms of anti-radar, hitting the objectives, control and guiding sections. It can easily intercept and hit the objectives.

On Saturday, December 24, Iran's Navy staged a massive 10-day naval exercise, covering an area stretching from the east of the Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Aden.

Over the past years, Iran has gained considerable progresses in defense sector and attained self-sufficiency in manufacturing key military equipment and systems.

The country has repeatedly announced that its military might is merely based on defense doctrine and deterrence of any attack and poses no threat to other countries.
