A design competion for pilotless airplanes was held at Tehran's Sharif University. The top teams were announced during a program on Saturday and were given awards:
Over 60 teams from universities across Iran participated in the competition. After going through various design phases and producing prototypes, 14 teams made it to the next phase where test flights were held.
The participating teams were given the task of designing airplanes that could travel in an area of 3x3 kilometers while taking photos or films in order to identify targets on the ground and decide their location.
