In a football match held in Tabriz, the local team Traktorsazi lost to Tehran's favorite Esteghlal 2-0. After the game, Traktorsazi's fans, who were upset by a bad call by the referee, ripped the seats and threw them into the field.
According to the officials, about 5,000 seats were damaged during this fiasco which ended with the intervention of the security forces. The football federation officials are considering punishments for Traktorsazi fans which could result in banning the team from having home games.
Meanwhile Traktorsazi has also launched a very strong protest to the football federations about the the referee's bad calls.

TABRIZ - Esteghlal football team gained three valuable points in the match against Traktorsazi thanks to two goals from Mojtaba Jabbari on Sunday.
Iran Professional League (IPL) leader defeated Traktorsazi 2-0 in Tabriz's Yadegare Emam Stadium.
Referee Mohsen Torki showed a straight red card to Traktorsazi's player Ehsan Hajsafi in the 41st minute, since he believed the player handballed in front of the goal. Jabbari put the visiting team into the lead from the penalty spot.
TV replays showed the referee's decision was wrong. Traktorsazi fans protested the referee's decision, throwing snowballs into the field.
Jabbari finished off Traktorsazi from the penalty spot, after Fereydoon Zandi was brought down in the 18-yard box during injury time.
Esteghlal remains at the top of the IPL standing table with 46 points, followed by Sepahan and Traktorsazi with 43 and 42 points respectively.
