Sotoudeh is considered to be one of the victims of Iran's crackdown on lawyers acting in sensitive political cases.
Her case has led to widespread condemnation.
The 47-year-old lawyer has gone on hunger strike in prison on a number of occasions to protest against the conditions in which she is being held.
Prior to her incarceration, Sotoudeh had told RFE/RL that the charges against her were ridiculous.
