Iran's government approved a 15 percent increase in state employees' salaries for current year 1391, Mehr news reported, citing an official. Iranian calendar year 1391 commenced 21 March 2012 and will end on 20 March 2013.

Wednesday that the increase will be enforced from this month, Mehr news agency
Previously, an official of the presidential office in charge of budget and planning had told the Mehr that Iranian state employees will receive 15% raise at maximum.
Rahim Mombini said that based on the budget law for the current Iranian year, starting on Mar 21, state employees could receive between 12 to 15% raise.
The government is however obliged to increase wages and salaries according to the inflation rate which officially is more than 20%.
The minimum daily wage of workers subject to the Labor Law (permanent and temporary contracts) has been increased 18 percent, too.
