Iran says any wrong move by West to affect result of talks

The Secretary of Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili said Tuesday any wrong movement by western countries would affect the result of talks.

Iran's top negotiator expressed hope after two days of talks in Moscow that members of P5+1 change their previous approach and take steps in cooperation with Iran.

Jalili added Iran has already announced after Baghdad talks that holding meeting among experts would lead to success in further talks and by writing different letters took steps in this regard.

He stressed that during Moscow talks it was agreed that expert-level meeting would be held after negotiations.

Jalili referred to first round of Moscow talks, saying this round of talks were held more seriously and real, during which Iran offered suggestions and stressed the enrichment right of the country.

"Based on legal documents we proved that many actions carried out against Iran are illegal and we clearly explained why the UN resolution is not legal, "he stressed.

Iranian senior official noted P5+1 has stressed that they should study Iran's suggestions and then offer their ideas in this regard.

He added offering comprehensive viewpoints by Iran gave the P5+1 group the chance to choose the correct path and exposed them to a big test for gaining the confidence of Iranian nation, noting they should change their previous approach and take steps in cooperation with Iran.

He expressed hope the group choose the correct path and that meetings among experts would lead to a proper result; adding Iran is ready to offer legal and political issues particularly regarding the country's peaceful nuclear energy.

Jalili added Iran would hail any move which is in the interests of its nation and would show reactions against non-constructive behaviors.

He stressed that Iran has announced its absolute disagreement with weapons of mass destruction and expects the other side would announce Iran's right to enrich uranium for peaceful purposes.

Iran's top nuclear negotiator added Iran has no problem with transparency but disagrees with prevention and just calls for cooperation, noting some wrong behaviors have been carried out against Iran which was not included in NPT.

Jalili added respect for previous agreements is a must for further progress of talks, noting Iran expects the other side heed the agreements too.

He referred to Catherin Ashton's interview where she repeated the suspension of enrichment by 20%, saying Iran offered four nuclear fundamental issues including cooperation for transparency, gaining confidence, disagreement with weapons of mass destruction an nuclear cooperation and calls for cooperation in this regard so that Iranian nation's right would not be ignored even in enrichment by 20 percent case.

Jalili added all steps would be constructive if the other side put aside the actions against Iran and expert-level meeting would be held for progress of cooperation between the two sides.

He added expert-level meeting between Iran and P5+1 would be held on July 3, noting Iran has stressed that talks should follow cooperation approach and any measure against this strategy would affect the result of talks.

Jalili went on to say that Iran stressed the necessity of holding talks both on nuclear and non-nuclear issues and has already said that the issue of Bahrain is an important issue and could be discussed during the meetings.

He added P5+1 offered the issues of drugs and pirates and Iran did not disagree to discuss them.

Iran and P5+1 have started talks on Moscow on Monday at 11:30 local time.

This was the first time that the negotiations were held in capital of one of the negotiating countries after Iranian nuclear case was referred to the UN Security Council.
