Vocalists Nima Masiha, Hamid Khazaei, Mani Rahnama and Salar Aqili performed Iran's former national anthem "O, Iran" during the Persian Gulf Concerts at Tehran's Milad Tower on May 2 and 3.

The four had teamed up to show Iranians' strong devotion to the Persian Gulf, and each performed their selection of famous hits, the Persian service of ISNA reported on Friday.

Accompanied by Tehran Academic Orchestra and conductor Amin Salemi, Khazaei was first who gave his performance signing the composition "Persian Gulf".
Rahnama performed his famous hits "The Bird" and "Mercedes", both composed by late Babak Bayat, followed by several pieces selected from his new album (see video)
He expressed his happiness over collaboration with director Masud Kimiaii in his movie "Mercedes" (1998), "working with Kimiaii has always been an honor for me," Rahnama said after his performance.
Traditional singer Aqili performed two traditional songs; and Masiha next appeared on stage with his songs.
Afterwards, the four singers joined the stage and performed "O, Iran", which had been composed by the prominent musician and composer Ruhollah Khaleqi (1901-1960).
The concert was brought to an end with Aqili singing the first Iranian national anthem composed by Bijan Taraqi "The Immortal Name of Homeland".
