Three children died and 5 more injured in the city of Khorramdarreh in Iran's Zanjan province due to overcrowding of a sports complex during the broadcasting of a children's TV show. According to the Mayor of Khorramdarreh Rahim Nuripour, 4000 people had gathered in the complex which has a capacity of 3000. As a result, some children were crushed at the end of the program when the crowd rushed to the exits.

The popular "Happy Aunt" TV show has been broadcasted in Iran for over five years. Live broadcast is carried out in various cities and provinces of Iran.
One of the injured children died after being treated at the local hospital. All of the three dead children were of about 7 years of age.
Three people responsible for broadcast transmission have been arrested in connection with the incident. One of the three is the producer of the show.
It was later revealed that the shooting crew did not get the permission from the Mayor's office to shoot the TV show at the sports complex.
