Iran ranks 1st in the world in the production of pomegranate and pistachio and second in producing dates.
Iran's annually pomegranate and pistachio production hits 790,000 tons which puts the country in the first rank in the world in this regard.
600,000 tons of the productions belong to pomegranate and the rest 190,000 tons to pistachio.
Iran also stands 2nd in date (fruit) production , 3rd in common fig, 3rd in cherry, 7th in grape and 7th in orange.
Italy annually produces 8.5 million tons of grapes and 500,000 tons of kiwis which led the country ranks first in the world in the production of grape and Kiwi.
Argentina exports 490,000 tons of pears which makes the country the biggest producer and exporter of the fruit.
China is known to be the first country in the world to produce cucumber, peach, watermelon and apple.
India ranks first in producing banana and mango and Brazil enjoys the first rank in producing orange. The U.S. stands second regarding the production of the fruit.
Coconut is widely produced in the Philippines and Indonesia enjoys the second rank in this regard.
The U.S. ranks first in producing almond, strawberry and blue berries and enjoys the second position in producing apple, hazelnut and orange.
Pineapple is widely produced in Thailand and Brazil stands second in the production of the fruit.
Spain ranks second in production of strawberry and almond.
Turkey stands first in producing berry and hazelnut.
