The vice-president for scientific and technological affairs announced on Thursday a two-fold increase in marital gift to highly talented students.

Currently the newlywed talented students receive 5-million rial (407 dollars) gift and this figure will rise to 10 million rials next year which will start on March 21, Nasrin Soltankhah told reporters on the sidelines of a ceremony arranged to award gifts to talented married students.
The woman vice president added the gifted youth will also get a gift for the arrival of their first child.
She also said talented married students who are doing their complementary education and cannot afford a loan and its installments could enjoy house loan endowments.
The house loan endowment in Tehran and other big cities is 250 million rials (over 20,000 dollars) while this figure is less in other cities where renting is less expensive, she explained.
