The First International Basic and Clinical Neuroscience Congress 2012 will be held at Tehran University's Razi Convention Center, from November 7-9.

Head of the Congress, Dr. Mohammad-Reza Zarrindast told IRNA on Monday that the meeting will focus on issues relevant to this science.

He said the meeting is inter-disciplinary in nature, common to clinical and basic sciences with psychology, neurology, neurosurgery, psychotherapy, physiotherapy, pharmacology and addiction specialists attending it.

There would be plenary and special lectures, workshops, symposia and poster communications.

Invited by the organizing committee, the participating specialists will present their recent works and ideas and share knowledge in their specific field.

The Basic and Clinical Neuroscience Congress 2012 is organized by Tehran University of Medical Sciences.

Tehran University of Medical Sciences is a leading academic and research center in the region that promotes academic education, knowledge transfer and scientific exchange through life sciences-oriented conferences.

The Congress aims to integrate basic and clinical neuroscience toward an applied understanding of neural system.
