New York Still Needs Our Help: IAAB Lends a Hand

Source: Iranian Alliances Across Borders (IAAB)

In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, IAAB organized a team of volunteers, along with a coalition of organizations, to work on Sandy relief efforts. What we found were communities extremely devastated three weeks after the storm hit. There is a dire need for all of those in New York and New Jersey to volunteer in relief efforts before the extreme winter weather hits.

We'll be organizing more trips to hard-hit areas of Brooklyn and the Far Rockaways in the weeks to come. If you'd like to be a part of this team, please fill out the form here.

For those looking to donate goods or money, please consider supporting the work of Occupy Sandy, one of the most hands-on and grassroots organizations in the area. Occupy Sandy is working day in and day out in all the hard-hit communities in New York and New Jersey.

We'd also like to thank the coalition of amazing organizations that volunteered on Saturday, including: Havaar, The Campaign for Peace and Democracy, The OWS Global Justice Working Group, The South Asian Solidarity Initiative, Codepink, and others.
