Iran finishes 3rd in Asian Junior Volleyball Championship

Iran finished in third place at the 2012 Asian Junior Men's Volleyball Championship in Urmia, Iran.

Iran defeated India in three successive sets (25-21, 25-13, 25-11) on Friday. Japan won the title after beating China 3-0 ( 25-23, 25-22, 25-23).

Japanese Masahiro Sekita was named as the Most Valuable Player of the competitions.

The top four teams advanced to the Men's Junior Volleyball World Championship which will be held in Turkey from 1 to 31 August, 2013.

The Asian Junior Volleyball Championship is a sport competition for national teams under 20 years, currently held biannually and organized by the Asian Volleyball Confederation, the Asia volleyball federation.
