The three men were identified as Yahya Charizehi, Abdoljalil Kahrazehi, and Abdolbasset Rigi.

Charizehi and Kahrazehi were convicted for a bombing in Chabahar city in December 2010 that killed 39 people who were taking part in a Shi'ite religious procession.

Rigi was has been found guilty of a bombing in Zahedan in 2010 that killed 28 people.

All three men were hanged in a Zahedan prison.

The Iranian judiciary called the three "terrorists" but did not mention Jundallah, the Sunni rebel group that claimed responsibility for both attacks in the predominantly Shi'a Muslim country.

News of the hangings came two days after a suicide bomber killed two pro-government Basiji militiamen and wounded five others outside a mosque in Chabahar.
