Iran says Hezbollah's drone, not its latest technology

Iran says the drone intercepted inside Israeli territory a few while ago was not the most cutting-edge technology it possesses.

"The drone that was flown above the (territory of) Quds occupying regime by Lebanon's resistance forces was definitely not Iran's latest technology," said Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi on Sunday in an interview released on the government website.

"Iran currently possesses drones with much more advanced and complicated technology used in the drone that was recently flown over skies of Israel by Hezbollah," he asserted.

Vahidi noted that the flight of drone inside Israeli borders was a "show of power" by Hezbollah and a "crushing blow to Israel" that ruined its propaganda over its iron dome.

According to Hezbollah Secretary-General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, the operation code-named Hussein Ayub saw Hezbollah's drone fly hundreds of kilometers into the Israeli airspace and getting very close to the Dimona nuclear plant without being detected by the advanced Israeli and US radars.

Hezbollah plans to send more drones over Israel in the future, Nasrallah said, adding that the operation shows the resistance movement is ready to defend Lebanon.
