The average gasoline consumption in Iran amounted to 70 million liters during the first half of the sixth calendar month of Shahrivar (August 22-September5), the Moj news agency reported.
The highest consumption was registered on the August 24 with the figure of 77.1 million liters.
The daily diesel fuel consumption reached 94.3 million liters during the two-week period of time.
A number of petrochemical projects will come on stream by the end of this year (March 20, 2013), which will boost the country's gasoline output by around 12 million liters per day, to hit 70 million liters per day, the National Iranian Oil Production and Distribution Company's managing director said in May.
