Iran's Revolutionary Guards says they have captured a foreign unmanned aircraft during a military exercise in southern Iran. A spokesman for the Revolutionary Guards said the drone was traced over Iranian airspace and subsequently brought down. The spokesman did not say if the drone was American.

Earlier this month, the United States denied a claim by Iran's Revolutionary Guards that it had captured an American drone over Gulf waters.
In December 2011, Iranian armed forces did capture an American unarmed reconnaissance aircraft that had been flying a mission over western Afghanistan.
