The Commander-in-Chief of Iran National Drug Control Headquarters has said that police has discovered and seized a 2-ton drug cargo destined for Europe.

Brigadier General Ali Moayedi said that intelligence investigations proved that smugglers plan to traffic a 2-ton heroin cargo to Europe. He also added that in observing its International and religious duties, the Iranian Police launched efforts to discover the cargo.
"All Europe would have definitely been in danger and nations would have gone subject to destruction had the cargo reached there." he continued.

Commander-in-Chief of Iran National Drug Control Headquarters asserted that to prevent damage to Europe, they discovered and seized the cargo, and admittedly the Iranian Police has given Europeans a gift for the 2013 New Year.
About the price of the load he said that "Heroin is dealt over $1000 a kilo at Turkish borders and it is $1500 when it gets to Eastern Europe."
