Behind Bars: Global Week of Solidarity With Political prisoners In Iran

Source: United for Iran

Join United for Iran and Amnesty USA as we stand in solidarity with prisoners of conscience and all those who have suffered for basic human rights in Iran - to demand an open and inclusive Iran where the voices of all citizens count!

Four years after Iranians rose up, demanding "Where is My Vote?" the Islamic Republic of Iran has proven again it is indifferent to human rights. Only eight men have been allowed to run in next week's presidential election. Meanwhile, more than 500 prisoners of conscience remain behind bars, including opposition candidates from the 2009 elections, who are on house arrest. Iran is not free.

On Sunday, June 9 in San Francisco, CA, U4I, Amnesty, and local activists are kicking off a global action week in solidarity with prisoners of conscience in Iran. Please click here to RSVP and share the event:

On Monday, June 10 in Vienna, Austria, Amnesty International will hold an event that will undertake 100 hours of solidarity. Please click here to RSVP and share the event:
