Hassan Rohani after voting in Tehran
The latest results of Iranˈs presidential election vote counting showed that Hassan Rohani has expanded his wide lead over his rivals. Rohani has about 16.5 millions (52.76%) of the of the over 31 million valid votes counted as of 7 pm Tehran time. Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf is a distant second with over 5 million votes (16.31%). The result is based on 52,424 ballot boxes out of a total of 58,764.
A wide range of reformist groups and personalities, including former presidents Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani and Mohammad Khatami, had announced their support for Rohani who is considered a moderate.
The latest results of the vote counts are as follows, with the final results expected to be announced aroung 10pm Tehran time:

Millions of Iranians on Friday cast their votes to choose the country's 11th president as well as their representatives in the city and rural councils.
Some 50.5 million Iranians, including more than 1.6 million first-time voters, were eligible to vote in the elections.
