The Islamic Republic News Agency, IRNA, reports that Afkham had this to say after former CIA employee and NSA contractor Edward Snowden disclosed that Washington had spied on Khamenei's visit to Kurdistan: "In terms of espionage and especially cyber espionage, this action is absolutely unacceptable."
The ministry's spokesperson added: "The Islamic Republic will continue investigating this matter at various levels with the political one at the top."
She also said: "The Islamic Republic is in full support of all the actions undertaken to combat these espionage activities."
