Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif rejected media reports that he had private talks with the US Secretary of State John Kerry.

"There have been no private talks between us. We had one session in New York and after that there was neither phone call and nor any kind of talks," Zarif said after some remarks attributed to Kerry were released that he had private talks with Zarif, but does not want to reveal its details.
He further said Kerry's remarks have been mistranslated and misinterpreted, adding, "I have seen the script of John Kerry's speech in Malaysia and it does not refer to any private talks."
