The World Economic Forum reports that Iran has the highest inflation rate among 148 countries listed in its study for 2012. ISNA reports that Iran sits at the top of the forum's inflation chart with a rate of 30.6 percent in 2012.
Iran, Ethiopia, Malawi, Venezuela, Tanzania, Guinea, Mongolia, Uganda, Sierra Leone, and Nigeria are the countries with the highest inflation rates in 2012.
At the other end of the spectrum, Georgia, Switzerland, Japan, Brunei Darussalam, Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates, Norway, Sweden, Greece and New Zealand were listed as having the lowest inflation rates.
Georgia and Switzerland were reported as having a negative inflation rate, and Japan's inflation rate was reported at zero.
The World Economic Forum's report was based on data received from the International Monetary Fund.
