The head of Iran's Environment Department has written to the vice president to call for a halt to the proposed sale of Pardisan Park.
The Fars News Agency reports that Massoumeh Ebtekar has told Eshagh Jahangiri that Pardisan is "the only ecological park and natural and environmental resource in Tehran." The former administration decided to allow the sale of Pardisan Park, and Ebtekar is now seeking to rescind that decision.
The Ahmadinejad administration issued the permit for the sale of Pardisan Park last May.
