President Hassan Rohani here on Monday officially started the new school year in the country by ringing the bell at a high school in downtown Tehran. Today, September 23, the first day of autumn in Iran, is beginning of the new school year across the country.
The President rang the bell in Fatemeh Zahra High School to symbolically start the new school year prior to his trip to New York to attend the annual United Nations General Assembly.
Rohani highlights importance of school years in learning rule of law
Addressing the students, President Rohani highlighted the importance of school years in making young people acquainted with principles of rule of law.
Outlining the significance of school years in brining up youngsters, he said becoming familiar with the rule of law should start from school years.
He added that all should start from school to build a better future for the country.
According to statistics, over 12 million students are studying at 105,000 schools across the country this year.
