Iranian President Hassan Rohani has said that development of nuclear technology and removal of sanctions are Iran's inalienable rights.
He made the remarks in a gathering of well-wishers in Gorgan, the capital of the northwestern province of Golestan, on Tuesday.
"Today, the world accepts that our research, development, and activities in the Arak heavy water reactor and Fordow (site) continue. The world (also) accepts that it is the time to end cruel sanctions against the Iranian people," he stated.
Rohani went on to say that at least 15 important steps have been taken in reaching nuclear agreement during past 15 months that he has taken the presidential post.
He added, "The world accepts that uranium enrichment will be done in Iran."
Elsewhere in his remarks, the president stated that the Eastern and Western world, including the 5+1 group (the United States, Russia, China, France, Britain, and Germany) need "constructive" interaction with Iran.
Iran's constructive interaction with world will increase
Rohani also said Iran's interaction with the world including the neighboring countries will increase.
He added that the world needs Iran for maintaining security and "economic" dealings.
I will keep my promises
The president also said he will keep up to his campaign promises to revive the economy and establish constructive interaction with the world.
"What I promised to you were saving the national economy, reviving the ethics in the society and constructive interaction with the world. I am standing by my promises to my last breath and with all my strength."
Era of extremism is over
"I give promise to the dear youth of my country, especially the dear young students, that I am standing by my promises."
To exemplify his promise to the people, he said named five nominees for the post of science minister, which Majlis finally voted for the last one.
