Iran's East-North Railway general manager has said that a train with passengers from Tehran to Mashhad jumped off a track near Shahroud on Sunday, and fortunately there have been no report of casualties.
Amir Hossein Tavpour told Mehr News correspondent that at around 4 a.m. Sunday the train with 400 passengers that had left Shahroud to Mashahd jumped off the track but no one was seriously injured, only five were slightly wounded.
He added that 88 trains move the same railway on a daily basis with around forty thousand passengers to Mashhad.
Tavpour held that the railway was fixed quickly and trains are moving safely on the railway.
