The Tehran Prosecutor has blocked the news website DANA following the shutdown of the Qanoon newspaper.
IRNA reports that Abbas Jafari Dowlatabadi announced the news on the sidelines of a meeting with the heads of courts across the country.
He told attendees that the Dana website, which had posted a story about the head of Fuel Headquarters, has been blocked, and Qanoon daily, which quoted that article, has been shut down.
Mohammad Royanian, the former head of Fuel Headquarters, was arrested in connection with a file being processed regarding the activities of this organization and has been released on bail of one trillion rials.
