Iran advanced to the 2015 AFC U-19 Women's Championship finals after finishing top of qualifying Group B. Iran, who had defeated host Sri Lanka 4-1 in its opening match, beat Palestine 6-0 at the City Football Complex in Colombo on Tuesday.

Iran's place in next year's finals in Nanjing was effectively sealed by the interval with Fereshteh Khosravi's first-half hat-trick (3rd, 38th and 44th) complemented by an 11th minute strike from Shabnam Behesht, who also scored a treble in Iran's 4-1 win over hosts Sri Lanka in their opening fixture of the three-team group, the-afc reported.
Fatemeh Rahmati made it 5-0 in the 74th minute before the defender sealed the win with her second and Iran's sixth as Amirshaghaghi Mahnaz's advanced to the eighth edition of the AFC Women's Championship alongside fellow qualifiers Uzbekistan, Australia and Thailand, who topped groups A, C, and D respectively.
The 2015 AFC U-19 Women's Championship will be the 8th edition of the tournament and will take place in China.
The top three teams will qualify for the 2016 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.
