Iran was ranked second in 2013 among natural gas exporters, pumping 128.08 billion cubic meters of gas abroad, the Italian energy company, Eni, said in a report (World Oil and Gas Review 2014) published Monday.
Russia was ranked first, exporting 206.53 billion cubic meters of gas, according to the report.
Norway was the third with gas exports amounting to 103.77 billion cubic meters.
Iran has the world's biggest reserves of natural gas, with an estimated 1.193 quadrillion cubic feet of gas reserves, and the world's fourth-biggest reserves of oil, with 157 billion barrels, according to the BP Statistical Review of World Energy, which was published in June 2014.
