Iran's Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports asked Persepolis officials to explain details of their trip to Spain and meeting with Real Mardid president Florentino Perez. Persepolis officials held a meeting with Real Madrid directors on Thursday. Two clubs reached an agreement to play a friendly in the summer of 2015. But it's now revealed that the man who has arranged this meeting is opposed to the Islamic Revolution.

Amir Hossein Jahanshahi who is a close friend of the Real Madrid president even asked the European champions to lower their price to play Persepolis in Tehran next summer.

He is the founder of Raha TV which is an anti-Iran channel based in London.

Jahanshahi, who has fled Iran after his involvement in the sedition that followed the presidential election in Iran three years ago, appeared on Israeli TV last year. He assured Israel of a victory over Palestine if the Iranian government is changed. Later he went on to endorse the crippling economic sanctions on Iran.

"Persepolis officials didn't tell who they would meet in Spain and now they have to explain the details and why an anti-revolution element attended the meeting," Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports spokesman Maziar Nazemi told reporters.

While Persepolis officials have made a political mistake, it is a doubt whether Iranian fans would see Real Madrid stars in Tehran or not.
