Iran has hanged a woman who had been on death row for five years for killing her alleged rapist.
The execution of Reyhaneh Jabbari was reported by the official IRNA news agency.
She was convicted after what Amnesty International called "a deeply flawed investigation and trial."
The man she killed - Morteza Abdolali Sarbandi - was a former intelligence officer, whom she said tried to rape her.
Jabbari's mother was allowed to visit her for one hour on Friday - a custom that tends to precede executions in Iran.
The execution was carried out after Sarbandi's family refused to pardon Jabbari or accept financial compensation.
Human rights groups had urged Iran's judiciary to halt the execution.
