The Iranian freestyle wrestling team came second in the 2014 World Wrestling Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on Tuesday. The Iranian team won three silver and two bronze medals in the competitions held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Hassan Rahimi won a bronze medal in the men's freestyle 57kg.
Mohammad Hossein Askari Mohammadian also claimed a bronze medal in the 86kg.
In the 125kg, Komeil Ghasemi won a silver medal after being defeated by Turkey's Taha Akgul in the final match.
Masoud Esmaeilpour seized a silver medal in the 61kg after he lost to Azerbaijan's Haji Aliyev.
Ahmad Mohammadi lost to Russian Soslan Ramonov in the final match of the 65kg and claimed a silver medal.
The annual World Wrestling Championships got underway on September 8 in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan and will conclude on September 14.
The competitions have brought more than 700 wrestlers from 80 countries together.
