The Tasnim News Agency reports that police arrived at Rahimi's home to transfer him to prison. A judiciary spokesperson was quoted as saying the chief charge against Rahimi was bribery.

Rahimi is linked to fraud involving the Iran Insurance Company and he was sentenced in January to five years in jail as well as cash fines.

In an open letter, Rahimi called himself a victim of former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's stubbornness.
