The Iranian wrestling team defeated Turkey at the Greco-Roman World Cup and finished in third place.
In the third-fourth match held at the Azadi Complex on Friday, the Iranian wrestling team defeated Turkey 6-2 and came third.
Iran lost to Azerbaijan 6-2 in Group A and defeated Sweden (6-2) and Germany (7-1) respectively.
Team Iran took part in the competition without the help of its four pillars of recent Greco-Roman success - London 2012 Olympic Games gold medalists Hamid Soryan(59kg), Omid Noroozi (66kg), Ghasem Rezaei (98kg) and 2011 world champion Saeid Abdvali (71kg).
Azerbaijan won the title after defeating Russia in the final match.
