Iran condemns killing of people in Paris, London, Berlin or Washington as it condemns killing of the Iraqi, Pakistani, Lebanese, Syrian people and Afghan people, the president stated.
"We should boost our cooperation in the area of fighting against violence and extremism and should not allow violence and extremism to spread in the Mideast region and around the Mediterranean Sea," he added.
Rouhani also called for expansion of ties between Iran and Cyprus.
Iran and Cyprus have many capacities to expand relations in political, cultural and economic spheres, the president stated.
Rouhani also said Iran and Cyprus have great capacity for cultural cooperation as the two countries are gifted with the great Persian and Greek civilizations.
For his part, Kasoulides called on Iran to expand cooperation with Cyprus specifically in the economic areas. He said in the future months commercial delegations from Cyprus will visit Iran.
Commenting on the European Union's policies regarding campaign against terrorist acts, specifically in Syria, Foreign Minister Kasoulides said the EU seeks a peaceful solution to the Syrian crisis and views Iran as a power player which can help create peace and stability in the region.
The chief Cypriot diplomat also said it was a great mistake that Iran was not invited to the Geneva conferences on the Syrian crisis.
The minister added that in his meeting with the European Union foreign policy chief he will insist that all regional countries should be represented in any meeting on the crises in the Middle East region.
