Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said he filed a procedural motion setting a time limit on the Senate's two weeks of debate over efforts by conservative Republicans to use the measure to impose more conditions on Tehran.
Senate leaders said they expect the Iran Nuclear Review Act to pass with strong support.
"If we get to the final vote without additional blowups between now and then, I think it's going to be overwhelmingly supportive," said Senator Bob Corker, the chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee and author of the bill.
A dispute among Republican senators over at least 67 amendments last week had left Senate leaders scrambling for a way to move forward with the legislation.
Many of amendments were considered "poison pills" that had the potential to kill the bill by provoking a presidential veto.
