Saudi officials said at least four people were killed Friday in a bombing at a Shi'ite mosque in eastern Saudi Arabia, the second such attack in the past week.

The blast occurred during the Friday sermon at the mosque in Dammam. Pictures and video on social media showed black smoke pouring from near the facility, amid cries from bystanders.
It is not immediately clear whether a suicide bomber or car bomb was used. No one has claimed responsibility.
Last week, 21 worshipers were killed and dozens more wounded in a suicide bombing at a Shi'ite mosque in Qatif, on the Gulf coast.
The Islamic State group, which has tried to make inroads into the Sunni Muslim kingdom, claimed responsibility for that attack.
Such attacks are relatively rare in Saudi Arabia, though the country shares a long border with Iraq and Yemen, both of which have seen extensive unrest.
