"Borderless" wins award at Heartland Film Festival

"Borderless" directed by Iranian filmmaker Amir-Hossein Asgari won the best premiere for a narrative feature award at the Heartland Film Festival in the United States, organizers announced on Sunday.


"Borderless" tells the story of a boy who has been fishing for some time in a grounded ship at the zero point borders. He has chosen the place for his seclusion and serenity when the appearance of a stranger takes away his peace and his work.

"Borderless" received the Special Jury Award at the 33rd Fajr International Film Festival in May, 2015.

The Heartland Film Festival chose Bulgarian director Stephan Komandarev's "The Judgment" as best narrative feature during the closing ceremony at the Old National Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.

American filmmaker Jason Zeldes's "Romeo Is Bleeding" took the award for best documentary feature.

The best narrative short award went to "The Way of Tea" directed by Marc Fouchard from France and "The 100 Years Show" directed by Alison Klayman from the U.S. was named best documentary short.
