Over 200 Iranian artists to promote Norooz in 34 countries

TEHRAN - Iran's Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) plans to dispatch 216 artists, musicians, comedians and actors to about 34 countries across the globe to promote Norooz, the Iranian celebration of the New Year.

The ICRO in collaboration with the Iranian embassies in Germany, France, Italy, UAE, Greece, Belgium, Luxemburg, India, Portugal, Russia, Tajikistan, Japan, Jordan and several other countries, will organize 150 cultural programs in the countries, the director of ICRO Department for the Iranian Diaspora, Hossein Divsalar, said in a press release on Monday.

Tar virtuoso Keyvan Saket, vocalist Salar Aqili, and actors Seyyed Hesam Navabsafavi and Marjaneh Golchin are among the artists selected.

The organization will also organize concerts by Ronak, Savalan, Lian, Irahestan, Kuban, Shams and Bidel ensembles in the countries.
