Iranian taekwondo practitioner Parisa Javadi has managed to grab a bronze medal in the 11th edition of the WTF World Junior Taekwondo Championships in Canada.

On Saturday, Javadi triumphed over her Spanish opponent in the first round of
the female minus 63-kilogram contests at the Bill Copeland Sports Center in the
western Canadian city of Burnaby thanks to a golden point.
The Iranian taekwondo fighter faced a participant from the host nation later on, and overcame her by 12 points to 10.
Javadi put in a stunning display in the third encounter against a Croatian contestant as she marched toward the semi-final round.
The junior Iranian athlete finally lost 3-10 to her Russian opponent in the semi-final, and received the bronze.
The 11th edition of WTF World Junior Taekwondo Championships opened in Burnaby, Canada, on November 16 and will wrap up on November 20, 2016.
The tournament has brought together 846 young male and female taekwondo fighters in addition to 458 officials from 102 countries, including Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Chinese Taipei, Croatia, Cyprus, India, Iran, Mexico, Mongolia, the Philippines, Russia, Serbia, South Korea, Spain, Turkey, and the United States.
