Installation in Marivan displaying Kalash footwear
Marivan won the WCC-APR status earlier in September after a delegation of
international experts probed the in-house expertise which has been passed down
generations to generations.
Located in western Kordestan province, the city is nationally famous for being a living museum of such footwear made of natural cotton and leather.
The country embraces a total of six cities and one village honored with the prestigious WCC tag.
