Iran lost to Uzbekistan 2-1 at the 2018 CAFA Women's Championship on Tuesday. The Iranian football team had started the competition with a 6-0 win over Afghanistan on Sunday.
Iran vs Uzbekistan today. Iran scored the first goal. But it was my first experience to play with such high tension from the crowd, bad calls from the ref, violent players who wanted to fight my team and several cards. Lost 1-2, but have to keep smiling, life goes on. pic.twitter.com/eV7lFXBG20— Katayoun Khosrowyar (@katkhosrowyar) November 27, 2018
During the intense match between Iran and Uzbekistan these two players ended up injuring each other. One broke her nose and the other...well let’s just say she wanted to quit football after seeing how badly injured her opponent was. On the field=play hard, off the field=respect♥️ pic.twitter.com/1FDJxQGI7N— Katayoun Khosrowyar (@katkhosrowyar) November 28, 2018
